Long curly hair is divided left of center. Sections of hair are drawn right and left alternately, creating a zigzag effect along the part.

Long, slender strands at the front are drawn forward and down, crossing the forehead from left to right in a curve that bends away from the open side of the face. The hair's natural curl creates a stepped effect as these front bangs cover half the eyebrow, graze the corner of the eye and curve out across the cheek.

Behind these wispy front bangs, a thicker strand of hair curls in from the side, almost touching the eye and twisting out again to cross the line of the cheek level with the tip of the nose, and become one of several coils hanging in the air beside the face.

The twining, serpentine movement of these coils is mirrored opposite by similar tendrils drawn down across the part. As these wispy, left hand spirals wind their way down the cheek, one strand remains clear of the face while another strand curves in at the temple and out again. Their teamwork narrows the forehead on this side but leaves the lower face exposed.

Behind the bangs on both sides, several more curly strands descend round the face, and finally the hair from further back wraps loosely round to be gathered behind in a messy bun.
